Orange Lutheran’s top-ranked boys water polo team will clash with No. 5 Foothill in the semifinals of the Memorial Cup in San Jose on Saturday.

The Lancers defeated host Menlo-Atherton, 22-4, and, Drake, 18-6, on Friday to reach Saturday’s 12:30 p.m. semifinal at Bellarmine Prep in San Jose.

Center Josh Orrick scored five goals against Drake while Hannes Daube added three goals and two steals. Ben Sasaki paced Orange Lutheran with four goals against Menlo-Atherton.

Foothill defeated No. 6 Newport Harbor, 10-7, in the second round to reach the semifinals. Joe Molina scored four goals for the Knights while JJ Hornecker added three. Arash Izadmanesh had 11 saves for Foothill, which beat the Sailors for the second time.

Jackson Westerman scored twice for Newport Harbor, which defeated San Ramon Valley, 10-8, in the first round.

Corona del Mar, ranked third in the county, fell to Bellarmine, 9-7, in overtime in the second round. The Sea Kings led, 4-3, going into the fourth period.

In a nonleague match:

Harvard-Westlake of Studio City 10, No. 4 Mater Dei 9: The visiting Monarchs became the second straight county team to nearly hand the Wolverines (20-0) their first loss. Harvard-Westlake, ranked No. 1 in Division 1, led, 6-3, at halftime but the Monarchs tied the score, 7-7, going into the fourth period. Jackson Seybold scored three goals while Christian Hockenbury added two for Mater Dei.

Orange Lutheran fell at Harvard-Westlake, 7-6, last Saturday.
