In a loaded field at this past weekend’s Tournament of Champions in Bullhead City, Ariz., McQuillin was simply lights out. The junior hurler went 5-0 over the weekend and tossed three shutouts. In the championship game against Pacifica, McQuillin struck out 15 batters and limited the Mariners loaded lineup to a mere three hits. She was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
