McKenna has been one of the key ingredients to the recipe of success for the Lightning. She has been part of a team that has reached three consecutive CIF-SS finals, winning a pair of titles and the first ever appearance in the CIF State SoCal Regional final. She earned first-team all-CIF honors last season for the Lightning. Sage Hill is ranked fifth in the county and first in the CIF-SS Division 3A poll. McKenna is currently enrolled in AP English, AP Environmental, AP Statistics, AP Economics, Calculus and Advanced Composition. McKenna is involved with Beads of Courage, an organization geared toward children dealing with cancer and other serious illnesses. Throughout the treatment process, a child will receive multi-colored glass beads that serves as a way to tell their story of what they’re going through. McKenna is also involved in Boxes for the Brave, created to make care packages for troops, veterans, wounded warriors and the children of troops. She also serves as a student ambassador offering tours around the Sage Hill campus for interested applicants. McKenna plans on majoring in marketing at Stanford.
