a-Orange County record

Diving combines scores from Southern Section and Masters finals

COACHES OF THE YEAR

BOYS

Andy Garcia, Trabuco Hills

In his 10th season, Garcia's development of his program paid its biggest dividends. The Mustangs were second at the Millikan Southern Section Relays, second in the final county dual-meet poll, second in the Sea View League and sixth at the CIF Division I finals. Trabuco Hills set school records in eight events, including all three relays. Just four seasons ago, the Mustangs didn't score one point in Division I.

GIRLS

Jeff Boss, Mission Viejo

In his first season with the girls, Boss utilized team depth to guide the Diablos to a third consecutive CIF Division I crown. Despite missing standout Meghan Dwyer (medical condition) for the first month of the season, Mission Viejo went wire-to-wire as the county's top-ranked dual meet team. Mission Viejo also captured the Murrieta Valley Invitational and the South Coast League. Boss has guided Mission Viejo's boys to four CIF titles.
