The junior midfielder had quite a two-week run for the team, which has been ranked in the top 10 in the county most of the season.
Boone scored 38 points in six games. Two weeks ago, she scored 10 goals in a win over Santa Margarita. This past week, she scored eight goals against Mater Dei, five goals in another match against Santa Margarita and one goal vs. Los Alamitos.
She had 61 goals on the season with three assists, 41 groundballs and 27 draw controls.
“Emily is a very talented and hard working lacrosse player,” St. Margaret’s Coach Summer Crabtree said. “She impacts the field on both the offensive and defensive ends. She wins draw controls, defends the 8 meter, scores with accurately placed shots, re-defends on any missed shots and is crucial in our midfield transitions.
“Her recent accomplishment of making the team to represent Orange County at the Women’s Draw National Tournament in Baltimore, MD is evidence of her incredible talent and potential. She is one of the most dedicated lacrosse players I have ever coached. Her hard work is infectious and inspires her teammates to be better on the field in all aspects of the game. She is a force to be reckoned with every time she steps on the field.”
