Highlights from some of Friday’s nonleague football games:
Corona del Mar 31, Los Gatos 13: JT Murphy rushed for 133 yards with two touchdowns to lead the visiting Sea Kings to a nonleague victory at Los Gatos High.
Tae Lee had 112 yards on nine receptions for Corona del Mar (1-1).
Century 28, Firebaugh 0: The Centurions were led by running backs Jodeci Pongphimkam and Alexis Rodriguez, who each scored a rushing touchdown, in their victory at home.
Quarterback Fernando Cambre also rushed a touchdown and a 2-point conversion.
Century took control of the game by scoring 20 points in the third quarter.
A safety by the defense and a touchdown run by running back Esteban Gallegos started the scoring for the Centurions in the first quarter.
Capistrano Valley Christian 27, Riverside Prep 20: Garin Green rushed for two touchdowns and caught for another to lead the host Eagles (1-1) past the Silver Knights (0-2) in a nonleague contest at San Clemente High.
Rancho Christian 38, Whittier Christian 34: Carter Treadway threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Treadway with 4:55 left to give Rancho Christian the victory in a back-and-forth nonleague game at Whittier College.
The Heralds (1-1) led, 34-31, early in the fourth quarter.
Whittier Christian quarterback Quinn Commans completed 16 of 23 passes for 332 yards and four TDs, all to running back Justin Osborn. Osborn had six receptions for 226 yards and also scored on a 25-yard run.
