The junior helped No. 1 University to one of its best weeks of the season, sweeping all six of her sets in decisive victories over Corona del Mar and Northwood, the second- and third-best teams in the Pacific Coast League. Asami did not surrender a game against Corona del Mar and won tough matches against Northwood’s top two singles players, Chloe Pham and Kerisa Lin.
