Northwood boys water polo coach Jocelyn Manderino, who guided the Timberwolves to the Division 1 playoffs in each of her two seasons in the challenging Pacific Coast League, has resigned for personal reasons, she confirmed.
Manderino led Northwood (15-14, 7-3) to a second-place finish in the Pacific Coast League this past season.
In 2013, the Timberwolves earned a share of the league title with Corona del Mar, finishing 9-1 in the Pacific Coast League. Northwood lost to eventual champion Harvard-Westlake in the quarterfinals.
Manderino is now coaching the 14 girls for the Newport Water Polo Foundation.
