Malik is a senior forward on the Mustangs basketball team. She was the JV captain and received the Most Outstanding Player award last year. Her classes include AP calculus AB, AP environmental science and AP economics. She received the Academic Mustang Achievement award as a freshman and sophomore and earned AP Scholar honors last year. Malik is a four-year member of National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation. She is involved with Operation Smile, Dream for Schools and she has been in the Girls Scouts for 12 years. Malik worked with the Peer Court last year. She has volunteered as a summer reading aide for local libraries and is involved with the Islamic Center of Yorba Linda. Malik hopes to attend UC Irvine and major in biology.
