SANTA BARBARA The Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions, arguably the toughest regular-season event in girls water polo, will be decided later today by Foothill and Orange Lutheran.

The No. 2 Knights and No. 3 Lancers will clash around 4:35 p.m. for the title at Santa Barbara.

Foothill advanced by rallying past San Marcos, 6-5, in the semifinals on two perimeter strikes in the final three minutes and 14 saves by Kenzie Snyder.

Orange Lutheran knocked off No. 1 and two-time defending TOC champ Laguna Beach, 8-7, in the other semifinal behind a strong game by Myna Simmons. The Lancers reached their first TOC final.

Foothill beat Orange Lutheran, 9-8, in the semifinals of the Holiday Cup in late December. The Knights will be seeking their first TOC title since 2007, also the last time they won Division 1.
