JSerra senior breaststroker Catherine Lowengrub has committed to LSU, Lions swim coach Kevin Clements confirmed.
Lowengrub helped JSerra capture the inaugural CIF state title last May and also was part of the Lions’ strong showing at the CIF Division 1 finals.
Lowengrub raced on the CIF Division 1 championship 200-yard medley relay and placed fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.04). She also took 14th in the 200 individual medley (2:04.25).
LSU swimming also landed a major recruit from Orange County last season: Edison’s Thomas Smith.
