The middle linebacker racked up four solo tackles and 21 assisted tackles to help Los Alamitos defeat San Diego’s ninth-ranked Eastlake of Chula Vista, 17-16. “He’s a monster,” Los Alamitos coach John Barnes said. “He just fills up (the running lanes).” Locher’s highlights included preventing a first down on a fourth-and-1 for Eastlake near midfield with five minutes and the Griffins clinging to a one-point lead. He also had several carries to help run out the clock in the fourth and a 10-yard TD run in the third.
