The senior captain led the Patriots to a 4-0 week, which included a victory over Newport Harbor and a first-place showing at the OC Invitational, where she was the tournament's MVP. Beckman defeated state-ranked teams La Costa Canyon, Monte Vista and eventually Coronado in the championship game. Against Coronado, Lehner had five goals and four assists.
On the week, Lehner had 23 goals and seven assists.
“The majority of those goals were against teams ranked in the top 12 in the state,” Beckman Coach Tom Messmer said.
Lehner is headed to play at Division I UC Davis next season, Messmer said.
