Laguna Beach water polo player Sophie Leggett, a second-team All-County pick last season as a freshman, has enrolled at Dos Pueblos of Goleta, her father, Keith, confirmed Saturday.

Leggett, a swift attacker, helped Laguna Beach reach the CIF-SS Division 1 semifinals by leading the team in goals with 75. She also added 32 assists and 32 steals.

She had been swimming earlier this spring for Laguna Beach. Breakers water polo coach Ethan Damato didn't return two messages earlier this week seeking comment.

Chris Parrish, who coached Dos Pueblos' girls last season, said he has resigned as the boys and girls coach to take a job in the private sector.

Dos Pueblos ended Laguna Beach's 76-game winning streak during the season and went on to reach the CIF Division 1 quarterfinals, losing to Foothill. The Chargers have been a main rival for Laguna Beach for several seasons. They won't graduate any senior this spring and could be one of the top teams in Division 1 next season.
