Mission Viejo, which won nine Sea View League games in a row to win the league championship after a 0-3 start in league, is seeded fourth. The Diablos play in Thursday’s first round at home against the winner of Redlands-Downey wild-card game that will be played Tuesday.

Having momentum going into the playoffs is good. Mission Viejo has momentum.

Wild card-round games are Tuesday in Divisions 2, 4 and 6. Wild card-round games are Friday in Divisions 1, 3, 5 and 7.

This division has a fine Orange County team vs. Orange County team first-round game Thursday: San Juan Hills at Foothill.

San Juan Hills is the No. 3 team from the Sea View League. That was one of the county’s better leagues this season, definitely one of the county’s top 5 leagues. Foothill is the champion of the North Hills League which was a good baseball league this season.

Sea View League No. 2 Trabuco Hills got a first-round home game Thursday against Redlands East Valley, the No. 2 team from the Citrus Belt League. North Hills No. 2 Villa Park is at Palomares League No. 2 Bonita of La Verne.
