1. Mater Dei (23-3 record, 50 poll points)

Monarchs had a fine week, with Nike Extravaganza wins over Shadow Mountain of Phoenix, Ariz., and Foothills Christian of El Cajon, plus Trinity League win over Santa Margarita.

2. Los Alamitos (21-4, 44)

Eyassu Worku was great, with 27 points, but the Griffins lost to Fairfax of L.A. by nine points in the Nike Extravaganza.

3. Orange Lutheran (20-5, 39)

Lancers lost their Nike Extravaganza game against Westchester and lost standout forward KaVaughn Scott to an ankle injury.

4. Santa Margarita (16-8, 37)

Eagles might have locked up a berth in the Open Division playoffs by beating another Open Division candidate, Etiwanda, in the Nike Extravaganza.

5. Esperanza (19-6, 29)

Win streak reaches 10 games by beating Canyon and Villa Park in Crestview League games.

6. Crean Lutheran (20-4, 23)

Saints are on 12-game win streak and have clinched share of Academy League championship.

7. Yorba Linda (19-6, 17)

Mustangs closing in on North Hills League title after wins over El Modena and El Dorado.

8. Villa Park (15-10, 14)

Spartans get Myles Franklin back and return to top 10 after win over Foothill.

9. Foothill (17-7, 10)

Knights lost to Villa Park, beat Canyon in Crestview League games.

10. Edison (19-6, 6)

Chargers were upset by Huntington Beach, defeated Marina in Sunset League action.

Also receiving votes: Northwood (20-5, 5); JSerra (15-9, 1).
