A look at the league’s race for spots in the CIF-SS playoffs and for the league title.

SOUTH COAST LEAGUE (WEST VALLEY DIVISION)

*Updated, Friday*

At stake: Top two teams in league are guaranteed a playoff spot in the West Valley Division. Two at-large berths are available. The South Coast League earned both at-large bids in 2014 (El Toro and San Juan Hills).

Mission Viejo (10-0, 4-0): The Diablos capped a perfect regular season with a win over El Toro in Week 9 and will likely go into the playoffs as the West Valley Division’s top overall seed.

Tesoro (8-2, 3-1): If the Titans knocked off San Juan Hills on Friday, locking up the league’s second guaranteed playoff bid.

San Juan Hills (8-2, 2-2): The Stallions didn’t earn a guaranteed postseason bid in Week 10, but they seem like the logical choice to be the division’s first at-large selection.

El Toro (5-5, 1-3): Considering four South Coast League teams qualified for the playoffs last season (including a 4-6, 1-3 San Juan Hills team), El Toro could very well be the recipient of the division’s second (and final) at-large berth.

Dana Hills (0-10, 0-4): The Dolphins are out of playoff contention.
