A look at the league’s race for a spot in the CIF-SS playoffs and for the league title.

PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE (SOUTHWEST DIVISION)

At stake: Top three teams in league are guaranteed a playoff spot in the Southwest Division. Three at-large berths are available. Irvine earned an at-large bid in 2014.

Corona del Mar (8-2, 5-0): The Sea Kings appear as they’ll receive one of the Southwest Division’s top three seeds when brackets are released on Sunday. CdM beat Irvine, 58-13, on Thursday 

Woodbridge (6-4, 4-1): The Warriors edged out University on Friday, securing a second place league finish.

University (8-2, 3-2): The Trojans will go into the playoffs as the PCL’s No. 3 representative following its loss to Woodbridge.

Beckman (4-6, 2-3): The Patriots are not likely at-large contenders.

Northwood (2-8, 1-4): The Timberwolves are out of playoff consideration.

Irvine (2-8, 0-5): The Vaqueros finished the season with a 58-13 loss to Corona del Mar.
