A look at the league’s race for a spot in the CIF-SS playoffs and for the league title.

*Updated, Friday*

ORANGE COAST LEAGUE (SOUTHERN DIVISION)

At stake: Top three teams in league are guaranteed a playoff spot in the Southern Division. Two at-large berths are available.

Calvary Chapel (7-3, 5-0): The Eagles defeated Costa Mesa on Friday to finish with a perfect 5-0 clip in league.

Godinez (6-4, 4-1): The Grizzlies topped Laguna Beach in Week 10, and will be the league’s No. 2 representative in the postseason.

Saddleback (6-4, 3-2): By topping Estancia, the Roadrunners have advanced to the postseason in consecutive years for the first time since 1985-86.

Estancia (3-7, 2-3): Eagles coach Mike Bargas said pregame Friday night that if his team lost, he would not put in for an at-large berth. Estancia did end up losing to Saddleback, and will not be headed to the postseason.

Costa Mesa (5-5, 1-4): The Mustangs are out of playoff contention.

Laguna Beach (2-8, 0-5): The Breakers are out of playoff contention.
