Andrew Kim scored five goals — all from from center — and Nathan Pak added three as Troy’s boys water polo team defeated Sunny Hills, 12-8, in the teams’ Freeway League opener at Fullerton on Wednesday night.
Nick Van Steenhuyse added a goal, three assists and seven steals for the Warriors.
The Freeway League has moved to a single-round format and is hosting league showcases Wednesday nights at different schools. The Division 4 league will host a playoff finale to determine playoff seeding.
