REGISTER MEDIA POLL

(Records through Sunday)

1. Mater Dei, 24-3 (50 poll points)

Monarchs went 10-0, again, in the Trinity League and get ready to take on the fierce competition in the Open Division.

2. Orange Lutheran, 22-4 (45)

Skillful and athletic Lancers finished second to Mater Dei in the Trinity League and were selected to the Open Division.

3. Sonora, 23-4 (39)

Top-seeded in 3AA, Freeway League champion Raiders’ average margin of victory in league games was 17 points.

4. Foothill, 23-3 (33)

It seemed unlikely that a team could go undefeated in the Crestview League but the Knights did just that to take league championship.

5. Tustin, 24-2 (30)

With TJ Shorts at point guard and their great defense, the Tillers are a top contender in a very-strong Division 1AA.

6. Santa Margarita, 17-7 (27)

If point guard Noah Rasheed is healthy for the playoffs, the Eagles could win 1AA title; they still would be quite good without him.

7. Los Alamitos, 24-2 (21)

“Big Three” of Kaub, Kusch and Worku were outstanding in Griffins’ win over Edison that earned them share of Sunset League title.

8. Edison, 21-6 (15)

Chargers, who tied Los Alamitos for Sunset League championship, will be a challenge for any opponent in Division 1A.

9. Esperanza, 19-7 (10)

Eye injury did not affect aim of Jarrett Brodbeck, who scored 47 points last week as Aztecs beat Canyon, lost to Foothill by five points.

10. Canyon, 18-9 (5)

Comanches lost to Esperanza, beat Villa Park in final week of regular season to tie Esperanza for second in tough Crestview League.
