Scouting report: If there is one team that has the look of a league champion, it might be the Eagles. Coach Mike Bargas has 13 starters returning and a strong senior class. Quarterback Conner Brown is surrounded by a strong group of returnees, including Christian Laurent (933 rushing yards), Indiana Taylor (587), Devon Jackson (522 receiving yards), Dalton O’Daly (216) and Ronnie Urquiza (334 all-purpose yards). That’s the most productive group returning in the league. Defensively, Urquiza is a player to keep an eye on, Tyler Thomas (48 tackles) and Dylan Laurent (54 tackles, two interceptions) will also be factors. The Eagles went into last season with just nine seniors on the roster and they were able to get to the playoffs. That experience will serve them well this year.
