STAFF REPORT

Kari Lane scored seven goals and Elena Isogawa added five to help Ocean View's girls water polo team open its season with a 14-9 nonleague victory over University on Tuesday.

Center Shannon Graham had two goals and drew seven exclusions, including two penalty shots, for the visiting Seahawks, who are ranked second in Division 6.

Ocean View goalie Ieva Viaciunas made 11 saves. 

Shawna Kedzie scored five goals for University.

Esperanza 8, Cerritos 2: Kendall Kohlenburger scored four goals to lead the host Aztecs in their season opener.

Kennedy 12, Estancia 4: Sophomore Kiara Anguiano scored four goals and Cami Owens made 10 saves to lead the Fighting Irish.
