El Dorado today annnounced Zack LaMonda is the school’s varsity head coach.
LaMonda has been offensive coordinator the past few years at Redondo Union. He previously was an assistant coach at Servite, where LaMonda was an All-County lineman before going on to play at San Diego State.
LaMonda replaces Mike Crawford, who resigned after the 2014 season. El Dorado was 0-10 in ’14.
LaMonda is a math teacher at Redondo. El Dorado athletic director Steve Gullotti said via email that LaMonda will be on the teaching staff at El Dorado soon.
