JSerra outside linebacker David Eugenio will miss the first 4-to-6 weeks of the season after suffering a broken foot, Lions coach Jim Hartigan confirmed in a text message on Monday.

The 5-foot-8, 189-pound Eugenio was a second-team All-Trinity League selection as a junior, when he posted 97 tackles.

Hartigan says junior Alex Martinez or senior Aaron Matthews might fill the void in Eugenio’s absence.

Some of JSerra’s opponents through the first six weeks include: Huntington Beach, St. Bonaventure and Santa Margarita.
