Kimpler has been a standout player all season for No. 7-ranked JSerra. Last week he had a hat trick in the Lions’ 8-5 loss to No. 2 St. Margaret’s.

On the season, the senior midfielder has 33 goals, 11 assists and 73 groundballs.

Kimpler, the Lions captain, has 33 goals, 11 assists and 73 ground balls.

“Joey is a do-it- all middie in the truest sense; he takes faceoffs or plays the wing on faceoffs, plays great shortstick defense, and is our best dodger and on-the-run shooter on offense,” said Coach Max Ritz.

“He's played great all year, but it speaks volumes about his competitive nature that his performances have gotten stronger and stronger as the season has progressed. It is that quality, and the versatility of his game, that the University of Maryland coaching staff have cited to me as primary reasons for their recruiting of Joey (for next season).”
