Quarterback JT Daniels isn’t the only Mater Dei football player enjoying a record-breaking season.

Senior wide receiver Osiris St. Brown, a Stanford commit, has racked up a Mater Dei single-season record 19 touchdown receptions, breaking Rod Perry’s 1996 school record of 18.

St. Brown set the record Friday in a 63-30 victory against Vista Murrieta in the second round of the CIF Division 1 playoffs.

His brother, Amon-Ra St. Brown, a highly-recruited junior wide receiver, has 18 touchdown receptions, which ties Rod Perry’s mark. Amon-Ra also tied the record against Vista Murrieta.

The duo also is on the verge of becoming the first Mater Dei teammates to post 1,000-yard receiving in the same season. Osiris has 1,069 while Amon-Ra has 987.

Mater Dei takes on Rancho Cucamonga in the Division 1 semifinals Friday at Orange Coast College.
