Huntington Beach’s Eric Lo and Fullerton’s Gus Martinez and Ed De Avila have been selected as coaches for the Brea Lions Orange County North-South All-Star Football Game on July 10.

The 55th edition of the game will be held at Orange Coast College.

In his seventh season, the South’s Lo guided Huntington Beach to its first CIF-SS title since 1935 as the Oilers defeated Sunset League rival Newport Harbor, 42-28, in the Southwest Division final in December.

The North’s Martinez and De Avila became interim co-head coaches just prior to the season, replacing longtime coach Julian Smilowitz. The Indians finished third in the Freeway League but reached the Southwest semifinals, where they fell to Newport Harbor, 28-17.

In January, Martinez and De Avila were named the school’s permanent co-head coaches.
