Orange County football has three games Friday night involving top-10 teams playing each other: No. 1 Mission Viejo vs. No. 7 Tesoro; No. 2 Edison vs. No. 8; Newport Harbor; and No. 6 Mater Dei vs. No. 2 Servite.

Making the evening even more interesting, and important, is that all three  games are league openers.

The nonleague part of the season ended last week for most leagues. League games are the ones that count in the standings, and are the ones that have the most importance to teams' playoff chances.
