Huntington Beach and San Clemente were among were among today’s winners of coin flips that determined home teams for CIF-SS baseball quarterfinals games Friday.

Huntington Beach will be the home team when the Oilers play El Dorado. Both are league champions. Huntington Beach is No. 2 and El Dorado is No. 7 in this week’s Orange County top 10.

No. 3 San Clemente is home against Bonita of La Verne.

The only other coin flip involving an Orange County team was in Division 6. Oxford Academy lost the flip, so the Patriots will travel to play Flintridge Prep of La Canada.

When two teams meet after the first round of the quarterfinals, the team with the fewest number of playoff home games at that point of the playoffs is the home team. If the teams have had the same number of home playoff games a coin flip decides the home team.
