Three pitchers combined for the first no-hitter in San Juan Hills history Monday night as the Stallions defeated Redondo, 1-0, in the Ryan Lemmon Invitational.
Michael Carr (1-0), in his second start back from an Achilles’ injury, threw five strong innings for the Stallions (11-7). He struck out seven and walked five.
Grant Littlejohn pitched the sixth, and Jack McCarthy got the final three outs in the seventh to complete the no-hitter.
Jack Reisinger caught all seven innings behind the plate.
“Jack called a great game tonight,” said Stallions bench coach Justin Napora. “He’s as big a part of this as anyone else.”
