LAGUNA HILLS – After two consecutive Sea View League losses, Laguna Hills got back on track Friday night in a non-league matchup, defeating visiting Adelanto, 35-21.

The Hawks (6-3) rolled to a 17-0 halftime lead and never looked back, taking a shutout into the fourth quarter.

Hawks receiver Logan Montgomery got the scoring started early, taking a reverse 69 yards into the end zone on just their third play on offense.

The Hawks added a field goal before quarterback Mitch O’Hair ran for a 5-yard touchdown to build their lead to 17-0 at the break.

Laguna Hills didn’t let up in the second half, driving down the field in just more than two minutes to score on a bruising 23-yard run by running back Bear Sutton. Another field goal gave the Hawks 28-0 lead after three quarters.

Adalanto (3-6) scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to close the gap.

O’Hair threw for 189 yards and one touchdown, an 89-yard strike to Montgomery to put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter.
