Hastie, a senior midfielder, has led the Griffins in ground balls, draw controls, interceptions and caused turnovers this year, according to Coach Liz Connelly.

A captain, Hastie has been a four-year varsity player for No. 2 seeded Los Alamitos and has started in every game. Hastie was an All-Sunset League player last year.

“She is our go-to girl, definitely the backbone to the entire group,” Connelly said. “She is definitely a tenacious, self-sacrificing leader who is always willing to do the best thing for the team, which is a powerhouse in Orange County because of her willingness to do the little things.”

Hastie has helped the Griffins, the two-time defending county and Southern California champions into the U.S. Lacrosse Division 1 playoffs. Los Alamitos meets the Laguna Hills-Tesoro winner on Thursday.
