The junior transfer from Mexico City capped off his sensational debut season with the Indians by winning the Freeway League singles title over teammate Kevin Chang last week. Gutierrez finished with a perfect 22-0 clip in league matches, and his championship win snapped a long run of winners from Troy and Sunny Hills High.
