The Dolphins senior used a strong final burst in the final 200 meters to tie two other runners for the top time in her heat of the CIF-SS Division 1 preliminaries. Behind Gomez’s time of 16:59, Dana Hills placed five runners in the top 15 and won its qualifying heat to advance to the Division 1 Finals.
