O.C. TOP PLAYERS TO WATCH

Brooke Graebe, Yorba Linda Sr.: She qualified for the CIF State Championship the past two seasons, draining a 30-foot birdie putt in the WSCGA So Cal Championships in 2013 to help her clinch a spot in the tournament. She also fired a 6-under 30 and a 5-under 31 on the front nine at Black Golf Club last season.

Amy Lee, Brea Olinda, Sr.: She returns to the Wildcats after taking her junior season off to concentrate on her studies. She plans to graduate early to join the USC golf team in the spring. She finished second in the AJGA Rolex Junior Golf Championship in June.

Madie Chou, Foothill, Jr.: She won two AJGA tournaments this summer. She fired a 6-under-par 66 on her way to winning the Payne Stewart Junior Championship in July, her third AJGA triumph this year.

Alyaa Abdulghany, Corona del Mar, So.: She finished in the top five in four of her last eight AGJA events, including a runner-up finish at the AJGA Junior at River Ridge Golf Club in Oxnard in April. She was also the medalist of the CIF-SS Southern Team Regional last season, shooting a 3-under-par 67 on the Classic Course at Mile Square Golf Course

Beth Lillie, Troy, So.: She played a key role in the Warriors capturing the school’s first CIF-SS title last year. She shot a 3-over-par 70 to help lead Troy to victory in the CIF-SS Eastern Team Regional. During the summer, she won the AJGA Junior at Steelwood Country Club in Loxley, Ala., and she finished second in the AJGA Junior at Mayacama in Santa Rosa.

Jakeishya Le, Mater Dei, Sr.: She shot a 2-over-par 73 during the WSCGA Qualifying Tournament at Talega Golf Club to help the Monarchs advance to the So Cal Championships for the second year in a row. She also finished sixth in the CIF-SS Southern Individual Regional with a 1-under-par 71.
