DIVISION 2

SUNNY HILLS (19-3-4) VS. LONG BEACH JORDAN (17-10-0)

Where, when: Warren High, Downey, Saturday, 2:30 p.m.

Outlook: The Lancers field a well-organized defense. They have shut out their last two opponents and have allowed two goals in four playoff games. This season, they are scoring goals too, having finished with three or more goals 11 times this season. Herminio Padilla has a four-game postseason scoring streak. Miguel Tapia, Amaury Maldonado and Kevin Perez have also scored during the playoffs. Perez leads the team with 12 goals. Jordan is averaging 1.6 goals per game.

DIVISION 4

GODINEZ (19-1-4) VS. SOUTH TORRANCE (19-3-2)

Where, when: Warren High, Downey, Saturday, 7:30 p.m.

Outlook: The top-seeded Grizzlies will try to win their first CIF-SS championship. Junior Bryan Ibarra is the second in the county for goals with 26. Jose Macias, who has scored in the last two playoff games, is second on the team with 10 goals. The Grizzlies know how to defend as well, shutting out 10 of their last 14 opponents. During that span, junior goalkeeper Alex Penaloza hasn’t more than one goal in a game.

DIVISION 7

SADDLEBACK VALLEY CHRISTIAN (16-3-0) VS. FILLMORE (19-3-3)

Where, when: Warren High, Downey, Saturday, 9:30 a.m.

Outlook: The Eagles have the county’s leading goal scorer, Brian Peek. He has 34 goals and 11 multiple-goal games. He also has 18 assists. Kalani Cummins leads the team in assists with 22. The high-scoring Eagle have scored 12 goals in a game this season, and scored 11 in a different contest. SVC has been held to one goal just once, in a 1-0 victory against Avalon.
