Aly Cosentino scored five goals and goalie Courtney Izoura made 14 saves as Cypress’ girls water polo team improved to 2-0 in the Empire League with a 10-3 victory against visiting Tustin on Thursday.

Sarah Smith added three goals, two assists and five steals for Cypress (14-7, 2-0), ranked fourth in Division 6.

Cypress’ Kylie Deguzman and Mareena Vivas also had three assists apiece against the Tillers (1-1 in league), ranked eighth in the division.

In the Trinity League:

No. 10 Mater Dei 10, No. 9 Santa Margarita 6: Freshman center Grace Thawley scored four goals and Kayla Constandse, Marley Presiado and Skyler Pyle each added two apiece for the visiting Monarchs (10-8, 2-1).

In the South Coast League:

Dana Hills 11, Aliso Niguel 8: Maddie Baba scored a career-high nine goals and her sister, Sydney, added two to lead the visiting Dolphins (14-10, 3-2).

In the Freeway League:

La Habra 6, Buena Park 5: Roni Ramirez and Natasha Velez each scored three goals for the visiting Highlanders (8-7, 4-2), who led, 6-3, going into the fourth.
