Center Dana Acquah-Asare scored three goals and goalie Tori Rainone made a steal with about 20 seconds left to help El Toro’s girls water polo team upset visiting Murrieta Valley, 10-9, in a nonleague match between Division 2 contenders Tuesday.

The Chargers (4-3), ranked fourth in Division 2, led, 8-4, going into the fourth and held on against Murrieta Valley, ranked second in the division.

Rainone finished with nine saves and Haley Hagerty added two goals for El Toro.

In other nonleague games:

No. 7 San Clemente 14, No. 9 Mater Dei 13: Amber McCutcheon scored with 1:50 left on an entry pass by Cassidy Smithson to lift the host Tritons (6-1). McCutcheon finished with seven goals. Attacker Skyler Pyle scored five goals for the Monarchs (6-2).

Aliso Niguel 7, Beckman 5: Lexi Franklin made 12 saves and Kristiana Gingraf scored three goals to lead the visiting Wolverines (6-2).

Ocean View 6, Pacifica 2: Alyssa Welfringer made 12 saves as the host Seahawks (6-4), ranked fourth in Division 6, defeated the No. 2 Mariners.

No. 1 Laguna Beach 21, M.L. King of Riverside 2: Makenzie Fischer scored seven goals and added five steals and Bella Baldridge scored four goals to lead the host Breakers (3-0).

No. 10 Huntington Beach 16, Palos Verdes 9: Kalista Hyham scored six goals and freshman Julia Rozolis-Hill added five goals and four assists to lead the visiting Oilers (9-4).
