Jovanni “Gio” Almodovar
San Juan Hills, So.
The midfielder became the school’s first freshman to make the varsity team last season, and he provided “top-notch service and tackling,” Coach Peter Casey said.
Anthony Arellano
Santa Ana, Jr.
He was selected the Golden West League MVP after helping the Saints post eight shutouts last season.
J.T. Cook
Servite, Sr.
He was the Register’s player of the year and Trinity League co-Defensive Player of the Year last season. He anchored the Friars’ defense, which posted 18 shutouts.
Jake Fisher
Santa Margarita, Sr.
He ranked third in the county in goals, knocking in 26 in 17 games.
Brendon Fix
Edison, Jr.
He finished with 14 shutouts and posted a 0.400 goals-against average after giving up just four goals in 10 Sunset League games.
Keith Murphy
Servite, Sr.
He finished last season with a 0.325 goals-against average, allowing only eight goals in 1,970 minutes.
Francisco Santana-Pelayo
Anaheim, Jr.
He was an All-CIF Division 3 first-team selection after finishing with eight goals and eight assists.
Amirgy Pineda
Century, Sr.
He missed the second half of the regular season after winning a national tryout to join Nike Chance Academy in England. He returned to the Centurions’ starting lineup during the playoffs.
Ethan Thrall
El Toro, Sr.
Coach Shawn Watts called him the “rock of the defense,” which posted 14 shutouts and helped the Chargers go unebaten in the Sea View League.
David Yepez
Santiago, Sr.
He scored 13 goals and added 18 assists to become an All-Garden Grove League first-team selection. He knocked in four goals during the postseason, scoring in three of the Cavaliers four playoff games.
