The UCLA-bound player was the best pure goal scorer in the county. He scored 19 goals in nine games before he was sidelined for almost a month with a hamstring injury. He finished the season with 32 goals. He scored two goals against JSerra to help the Sea Kings advance to the CIF Southern California Division 2 Regional championship game. He also scored the game-winner in the regional championship game. He scored a goal in the CIF-SS Division 4 championship game, guiding the ball between two La Mirada defenders.

He scored 33 goals for the Saints this season. During the Golden West League season, he had one four-goal game, one three-goal game and four two-goal games.
EFREN CORDOVA
SANTA ANA VALLEY
Sr., F
He helped the Falcons move into the top 10 of ESPN's national rankings and advance to the CIF-SS Division 3 championship game. He scored the game-winner for the Falcons in the semifinals and knocked in the game-tying goal for Valley in the championship game. He also scored the only goal of the game in the first round of the CIF Division 1 Southern California Regionals. He finished with two goals against Edison and helped the Falcons win the Aliso Cup tournament in December.
MITCHEL ALVAREZ

He was the catalyst for the Chargers' run to the Sunset League championship and the semifinals of the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs. During league, he scored five goals and added two assists. He finished with two goals and three assists in the Chargers' five postseason games.
CORY WOLFROM

He was one of the key playmakers for the Aztecs this season, a player who clearly was the leader on the field for this Sunset League power. He assisted on the goal that gave the Aztecs the lead against JSerra during the quarterfinals of the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs. During league and postseason play he accounted for seven goals and one assist.

He almost single-handedly led the Coyotes to the Freeway League championship, scoring 10 of his team's 14 goals during league. He also added four assists. In the playoffs, he knocked in three goals in the Coyotes' 4-2 victory against Segerstrom in a CIF-SS Division 2 first-round game.
BRIAN FORD

Coach George Larsen said Ford helped hold the team together while standout forward Reed Williams was injured. He scored 12 goals for the Sea Kings this season through the CIF-SS playoffs, including one against Mission Viejo in the championship of the South Orange County Classic championship game while Williams was on the bench. The Sea Kings won that tournament. He also helped the Sea Kings defensively, and during the postseason, the Sea Kings only gave up one goal on their way to the Division 4 championship.
ANDY STEVENSON

The Monarchs moved to the top of the county top 10 this season, largely because of their defense, which was led by Stevenson, the Trinity League's defensive MVP. In nine of their last 13 games, the Monarchs gave up one goal or less, posting seven shutouts during that span

He helped the Lions win the first CIF championship in school history in any sport. During the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs, the Lions gave up three goals in five games This season, the Lions posted 15 shutouts. Due in large part to Bastone, the Lions only gave up on average .8 goals per game.
MIGUEL AVILA

He played a key role in helping the Falcons advance to the CIF-SS Division 3 championship game, marking some of the best players in the section. In seven postseason games, Valley's defense, led by Avila, allowed only three goals. During the CIF Southern California Regional Division 1 tournament, the Falcons posted back-to-back shutouts.
JERROD STITH

He posted four shutouts during Sunset League play, and one in the playoffs. He posted a .7 goals-against average in one of the most competitive leagues in the county.
ERIC BRUNTER
SERVITE
Sr., All-purpose
He was the leader of what at times was the best defensive group in the county. He helped the Friars shut down some of the best forwards in the state to win the prestigious Nautical Cup tournament in San Diego in December. The Friars posted eight shutouts in their first 10 games, allowing only two goals during that span. But during league, Brunter was more than a defender, playing forward as well. Over a three-year period for Servite, he led the defense to 42 shutouts. This season, the Friars had 12 shutouts. Chris Goessling Memorial Award winner.
COACH OF THE YEAR

He guided the Lions to their second consecutive Trinity League title. They won it by one point over Mater Dei. Entering the final week of the season, his team was in second place. But the Lions wrapped up the title, posting victories over St. John Bosco and Servite. The Lions only allowed one goal in those two games. His team then went on to win the CIF-SS Division 1 championship, giving JSerra its first CIF title in school history. The Lions won 27 games and posted a .782 winning percentage.
