Playoff dates: First round (Feb. 18), second round (Feb. 20), quarterfinals (Feb. 24), semifinals (Feb. 27), final (March 4 or 5).
CONNOLLY’S COMMENTS: This is the Orange County division based on the simple fact that it houses more local teams than any of the other Southern Section brackets. . . . After being passed over for the Open Division, Orange Lutheran comes in as the No. 1 seed and division favorite. The Lancers aren’t the flashiest bunch. They play suffocating defense and grind it out on the offensive end, eerily similar to No. 3 Sonora. . . . OLu and Sonora mirror one another in several facets, but playing championship level ‘D’ is both its calling cards. The question then becomes: Where will both schools get their points from?
