The Knights senior produced lifetime best throws in the discus and shot put Saturday at the CIF-SS Division 1 preliminaries. She finished as the top qualifier for the CIF-SS Division 1 discus finals by improving her county leading mark to 138 feet, eight inches. Makanesi also finished third overall in the shot put with a throw of 40-6½ and is currently second in the county this season.
