Outlook: Mater Dei, ranked No. 1 in the nation by USA Today’s computer rankings, beat Vista Murrieta, 63-30, last week as sophomore quarterback JT Daniels passed for 407 yards and five touchdowns. Junior receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown had seven catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Mater Dei has scored 132 points over two playoff games. Rancho Cucamonga defeated Mission Viejo, 42-26, in last week’s second round. Running back Jaylon Redd, who committed to Oregon as a defensive back, ran for 147 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries. Rancho Cucamonga is ranked No. 4 in the state by The winner plays the Centennial of Corona-St. John Bosco winner in the Division 1 championship game Dec. 3 at Angel Stadium. The Monarchs’ most-recent CIF-SS finals appearance was in 2013, when they lost to St. John Bosco.
