MICHAEL FERNANDEZ, FOR THE REGISTER
There are a lot of reasons to enjoy a football game on a Friday night. The teams and players are just part of it; the fans, bands and cheerleaders add energy and fun to every game. Check out our Pure Fandemonium slideshow that salutes those other "stars" of the game.

Pure Fandemonium: Why we love Friday Nights

STAFF REPORT

There is a lot to enjoy at a high school football game in Orange County.

Yes, there are great players and teams, but honestly there is so much more that goes into making the games fun and enjoyable for so many people.

Bringing the engery and passion to every game are the student sections, cheerleaders, spirit groups and school bands.

Check out our photos of these moments - from the pregame preparations, to the players running through the team banners, to the postgame celebrations.
