A pair of Pac-12 football recruits, who also are cousins, have transferred to Santa Margarita.
Rising sophomore defensive end Mase Funa of Spanish Fork in Utah has transferred to the Trinity League school, he said in a direct message on Twitter.
Funa (6-1, 218) has been offered by BYU and Utah.
Santa Margarita's defense also features transfer cornerback Malone Mataele (6-0, 175) from Orange Lutheran. The junior started to emerge as a player to watch last season, finishing eighth in tackles for the Lancers with 46.
Mataele said via Twitter that he has been offered by BYU, Utah, Colorado and Hawaii.
