Dana Hills and Mission Viejo Nadadores freestyler Shane Forker has committed to Cal, Dolphins swim coach Matt Rosa reports.

Forker finished fourth in the 500-yard freestyle last season at the CIF Division 1 finals with a time of 4 minutes, 24.56 seconds.

He also claimed fourth in the 200 free with a 1:38.70, helping Dana Hills finished second in the team competition to two-time champion University.

The Nadadores’ pipleline to Cal is becoming strong.

Besides Katie McLaughlin on the women’s side, the Nadadores’ Nick Norman (Capo Valley) signed with Cal last season while ex-Nadadores Janardan Burns (Aliso Niguel) is now a junior standout for the Golden Bears. Recent University freestyler Ken Takahashi also is a Nadadores product and a fellow freshman with Norman at Cal.
