All-County running back Edward Vander (6-1, 205) has left JSerra and enrolled at his previous school, Paramount, Pirates football coach Matt Howard said Tuesday afternoon.
“He has checked back into Paramount,” Howard said in a text. “Today is his first day.”
Vander, a senior-to-be, transfered from Paramount to JSerra in August. He helped power JSerra to its first postseason appearance last season and a No. 1 ranking in Orange County. He rushed for 1,565 yards and was selected first team All-County.
On Monday, Vander posted to his Twitter account, “Boy I’m excited to be back home.”
JSerra wished Vander well.
“He returned to his home school,” defensive coodinator John Baggerly said in a text. “We wish him the best of luck in the future.”
