The Stanford-bound senior matched her season-high with seven goals and added two steals and an assist to lead the No. 1 Breakers past No. 3 Newport Harbor, 9-8, in a nonleague game. Fischer netted the game-winning goal with 23 seconds left.
“Not many girls can shoot that hard and accurately under pressure,” Newport Harbor assistant coach Brian Melstrom said. “She’s a heck of a player.”
