Boys lacrosse: Brendan Finnerty makes the move to San Clemente

Brendan Finnerty has been hired as the new boys lacrosse coach at San Clemente High, athletic director Jon Hamro confirmed today.

Finnerty comes from Beckman HS, where he led the Patriots to three consecutive Pacific Coast League tites.

Finnerty is the owner and director of the Wild Horse Lacrosse Club and a graduate of Fairfield University.

"We are thrilled that Brendan has agreed to take the job as the San Clemente High School Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse Head Coach.  We have a proud tradition in boys’ lacrosse, and I believe Brendan will not only continue with what has been built, but also even elevate our program to unprecedented levels.  Brendan is a teacher first, and together with his competitive drive I know our boys are in the best possible hands moving forward.”
